Getting here was quite a quest! A journey lined with failures and successes, desperation, hopes and joy, battles and victories. All for the sake of beautiful rocks of fate!
ABOUT MY RPG DICE
First of all – I care. I want you to be able to find your favourite set here. My big goal is to make dice that people get excited about and love using in their games. I do not mass-produce dice. I focus on interesting and more advanced designs. I love creating little magical worlds inside each dice and I will always prefer quality over quantity.
Each single dice in this shop is hand made (by me) and unique. The dice done in the same design are bound to look similar, but no two dice are exactly the same. I do some of the designs multiple times and some sets will only be done once. Most of my dice are a bit larger than standard sets. If you would like a different size please do contact me, I may be able to help you. I also design and print my own masters.
I use a quality resin and dyes, the best kind I could find, one that stands the test of time. However, I would still recommend not leaving your dice exposed to direct sun light for long periods of time. Just find them a good hiding place while you are not using them! 🙂
Each dice is checked and tested for fairness. The inclusions I use should not cause any noticeable balance issues. When I do something I don’t go half way, so I worked very had to learn, test and perfect my dice, so I can offer you something I can be proud of. This is not to say my dice are absolutely perfect, as that goal is simply not achievable. But, I get as close to perfect as I can and I hope you love them as much as I do!
The prices of my dice depend on how much time I spend making them and on the materials I use, some dice do take quite a long time!
Some of my dice have an option to have the fox (Sen) symbol on D20 instead of the number. Sen is a symbol of Misty Woods rather than my logo. I love this little magical fox and I think she looks pretty cool on the dice!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Czech republic, a place of many beautiful forest that were also used as a setting for many fantasy films, including the Wheel of time and the Chronicles of Narnia to name a few. I’ve always had a strong bond with woodlands. As a child I lived in a house overlooking woods and I loved playing and exploring all that it had to offer. I loved finding tiny violets, acorns, chestnuts, watching birds, red squirrels and beetles. I was fascinated by the earthy colours, mossy branches and I learned to love and respect trees. It all became a part of who I am. So naturally, when I was looking for a “location” for my magic shop it couldn’t be anywhere else than in a magical forest. Starting with a small idea, Misty woods began to take shape, growing and expanding into a location full of life and magic, which is not actually what I planed but it just wanted to happen! A mysterious fox Sen (dream in Czech language) settled in Misty woods and a cosy magic shop was “built” in its heart.
I am also a dedicated DM for my small family D&D group and have written some of the adventures we play. I love fantasy writing so this is a perfect outlet for me! I am a professional full time artist and I also worked as a designer, so when I started making dice and discovered all the possibilities, I couldn’t stop at creating just a few dice, oh no… I had to go big! I can dedicate only some of my time to this, but I love every minute.
ABOUT MISTY WOODS
Misty Woods is as a real place as it can be, it’s definitely real for me! Just don’t go looking for it on google maps! 😉 It’s a vast area of woodlands that includes marshes, hills, an old castle, caves, rivers, lakes and more! A variety of forest dwellers and monsters lives here. You can hope to catch a glimpse of the mysterious magic fox called Sen (“dream” in Czech language). It’s said to sometimes appear to those in despair, to help find a way out. And then there is the Magic Shop, of course… where you can buy your own rocks of fate, may they bring you good fortune on your journeys!
ABOUT SEN (the fox)
Sen is a little magical fox that lives in Misty Woods. Not much is known about her, but people say she has appeared to them in a time of great distress to help them find a way out. She seems to bring good luck to those who see her. Sen means “dream” in Czech language.
I chose her to represent the number 20 on some of my D20 dice. I didn’t want to use my logo, so she was the perfect choice and a symbol of Misty Woods. I hope she appears to you often on your adventures, although I can’t guarantee, she has a mind of her own!
ABOUT D&D ADVENTURES
The initial idea of Misty Woods being just a place for my magic shop overflowed into creating a whole location full of life. You are welcome to add it to your game if you like it, be it one shot or a whole campaign. I have a few one shot adventures that I wrote for my D&D group, some of them featuring Misty Woods. I wanted to share them with others, so they are available as a free download, for personal use only!
There will also be a map and some description of various locations inside Misty Woods, that can be used in any RPG game. I just ask for the basic courtesy of respecting my rights as an author.
